Winner of the First Prize and Audience Award at the "Arthur Rubinstein" Piano Competition 2021, First Prize and Audience Award at the Santander Piano Competition "Paloma O'Shea" 2015, First Prize at the Steinway Competition in Berlin 2015 and the Medal of the City of Seville, Juan Floristán is already a reference among the new generations in the world of classical music.

A tireless young pianist born in Seville, in a short time he has made his debut in some of the world's leading halls, such as the Royal Albert Hall , Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Herkulessaal in Munich, Tonhalle in Zürich, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Béla Bartók Hall in Budapest, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, Palau de la Música in Barcelona, Charles Bronfman Auditorium in Tel Aviv... He has also performed at festivals such as the BBC Proms in London, Ruhr Klavier Festival in Germany, Verbier Festival Academy, Chopin Festival in Poland, Santander Festival, Granada Festival, Beethoven Festival in Warsaw....

With a repertoire that includes more than 30 concertos for piano and orchestra and encompasses works from Mozart to Crumb, he has been invited by orchestras such as the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, National Orchestra of Spain, Jerusalem Camerata, Monterey Symphony Orchestra (USA), Malmö Symphony Orchestra, Royal Symphony Orchestra of Seville, Barcelona Orchestra...

His recording projects include a CD with the BBC Concert Orchestra of London, a solo CD for Naxos, chamber music projects, original soundtracks... having already recorded works by Beethoven, Liszt, Schumann, Mussorgsky, Ligeti, Ravel, Debussy, Ginastera, Bartók, Falla, Schubert, Shostakovich, Brahms, Alberto Iglesias…

The list of conductors, soloists and chamber ensembles with whom he has collaborated includes Jesús López Cobos, Lahav Shani, Vasily Petrenko, Juanjo Mena, Pablo González, Cuarteto Casals, Ben Gernon, Marc Soustrot, Leopold Hager, Lorenzo Viotti, Josep Vicent, Max Bragado, Andrei Ionita, Pablo Ferrández, Fine Arts Quartet, Dietrich Henschel, Kian Soltani, Cristina Gómez Godoy, Pablo Barragán…

He owes his training mainly to his mother –María Floristán–, Galina Eguiazarova and Eldar Nebolsin. He has also received advice from international figures such as Elisabeth Leonskaja, Eberhardt Feltz, Claudio Martínez Mehner, Daniel Barenboim, Horacio Gutiérrez, Ana Guijarro, Ferenc Rados, Menahem Pressler, Nelson Goerner, Kirill Gerstein, Luca Chiantore, Stephen Kovacevich...

Since 2020 he has been teaching piano at the Barenboim Academy in Seville.
During two seasons (2020 to 2022) he was part of the team of the radio program "La Ventana" of “La Ser” with Carles Francino.
He has received the award "Ojo Crítico" 2023 from the Spanish Public Television. Since 2021 he is an Official Yamaha Artist.
