Rune Bergmann who returns to the Peninsula Music Festival in his third edition as it’s music director, will conduct eight diverse and compelling concerts, showcasing a wide-ranging repertoire that spans continents and centuries. Highlights include works by Copland, Rachmaninoff, Brahms, Schumann, and a stirring American program featuring the music of John Williams. Audiences will also enjoy treasures of the Scandinavian repertoire from Nielsen, Grieg, and Sibelius, along with beloved masterpieces by Mozart, Beethoven, and Dvořák.


The season will culminate in a powerful and poignant performance of Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 “Resurrection”, a fitting conclusion to what promises to be an extraordinary musical journey.
